Director of Security for Fort Wayne Community Schools

the largest school corporation in the State of Indiana 

July 2013 to February 2019 

  • Responsible for the safety and security of approximately 30,000 students, 4,500 employees, and 52 schools and 10 additional buildings.

 

Nearly thirty-two year veteran of the Fort Wayne, IN Police Department

  • Advanced training in hostage negotiations, mental illness, supervision, Internal Affairs investigations, and family violence. 

  • Promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant in 1990 and to Lieutenant in 1996. 

  • In March of 2000, named the first female Director of Training for the Fort Wayne Police Training Center and promoted to the rank of Captain. 

  • In September 2005, returned to the Patrol Division to oversee the annexation of 25,000 citizens into the City of Fort Wayne. 

  • Promoted to Deputy Chief in May 2006, and served as the Director of Training for the Fort Wayne Police Training Center. 

  • Davis gave expert witness testimony in the landmark case of the Estate of Paula Ross v. Town of Gaston, IN civil lawsuit, and she has testified in numerous additional civil and criminal trials throughout the country as an expert witness. 

  • Davis testified before the House in 2003 to support the creation of a criminal statute in the State of Indiana concerning a convicted batterer in possession of a firearm.

  • She is the owner and President of Davis Corporate Training, Inc., a private consulting business.
